In this workshop, participants will learn how to design and carve their lino printing block, create different prints, and go back home with a set of lino block printed artworks and the printing blocks.

The workshop begins with an introduction to linocut; everyone is taught how to use the carving tools and the necessary cutting techniques.  Participants will then experiment with some mark makings before developing and composing their print. Lastly, they will be shown how to ink then print their lino block and experiment as they wish.

Participants may wish to bring some of their images to work from or work from imagination.

About The Instructor:
Asma Khoory is a visual artist that holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She exhibited her work both locally and internationally. Asma’s artistic practice revolves around themes of manufactured time, human relations, and collective memory.
