Ballan will present an overview on the evolution of realism in art until mid 20th, continuing the dialogue on realism in his works, and comparisons between the works of Arab artists in the 1960s: Marwan Qassab Bashi - Syria, Mahmood Sabri - Iraq, Jabra Ibrahim Jabra - Palestine, and Fateh Mudarres - Syria.

The talk will be concluded with music composed by Aoun Hamid, which was inspired by Ballan’s work.
