About the Workshop:

Decoupage is a beautiful art form that involves decorating objects by gluing paper cutouts onto them, followed by several coats of varnish or lacquer. It's a versatile and accessible craft that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. The instructor will provide introduction to the history and techniques of decoupage, covering different materials and methods used.

Participants will create their decoupage masterpiece with step-by-step guidance and tips. All necessary materials, including paper cutouts, adhesive, varnish, and brushes, will be provided. Participants only need to bring their creativity and enthusiasm.

About the Instructor:

Samishka Jawale, the founder of The Creative Cubes Gallery, is a Dubai-based artist and designer with over 15 years of experience in art & design. She studied art and architecture in Mumbai. She has exhibited internationally and locally, including at the International Watercolor Society. Samishka is also an accomplished curator, organizing multidisciplinary activities such as workshops, lectures, media art installations, offsite public artworks, and mentorship programs. Her gallery provides a platform for artists to research, produce, present, and promote their work.
